Recent Obsessions

So I have piled up so many clothes in the recent months (to compensate for the stress due to thesis and other things), but I haven't got time to snap some outfit photos. I will though, in this weekend! :) I have pretty much done my thesis revision. All that is left is to study Japanese, which is 1000 times more fun than revising my thesis.

Ahem, you may think that my recent obsessions have something to do with that...but they are not. Well, they are kinda related to Japanese though.

- NERDINESS & OTAKU-NESS ALERT-

I'm currently addicted to anime figures. Very very addicted. And this, of course, tortures my wallet. I think my problem is probably having too many interests. I love video games, clothes, manga(s), food, and now figures. I've got nothing to complain, though (other than my wallet). So far, these things keep me content and happy :)

What got me into these figures is, first of all, because of my bf. He's recently been an otaku, and his otaku-ness kinda revives my childhood otaku-ness. Honestly, it's the nerdy side of him whom I like most :3 let's see what he bought!

A Gundam.

Random thought: I can read some of the instructions woooo!

Almost done!

Ah ;~; *tears of joy*

I had fun just by watching the assembling process, although this is probably not for me. I mean, well I like watching and reading Gundam. You should too. In contrast to common belief, Gundam's stories are not only about wars and fighting. There are times when you, too, will start to question what is right and wrong. *cough* So back to my point, as much as I like the anime and manga, I am not really into Gundam figures.

What I'm into is something like this.

TAA-DAH! Introducing you to the Petite Nendoroid of Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime. I didn't pick her because I like the anime, actually. It's more because of the amazing details even though it is a petite figure. Even the photos can't justify the actual look.

For me it's like the anime character herself comes to life...in a chibi form :p
I used to think that the figures are overpriced, but when I see them with my own eyes, I kinda understand. The handiwork is excellent. The petite one like this is not expensive, only about IDR 60.000 or so, but the normal one will cost about IDR 400.000. For the normal one, you can change the expressions too *sigh*

Before I'll see you in my next post, here are some random pics of my recent parties.
Not very comfortable showing my arms in photos because I have these insecurities about my arms.. Everytime I gain some weight, the arms are the one who receive those fats -__- anyway I like the texture of my dress! ;) and of course, my flowery heels.

Oh, right. I am going to East Europe this December, so there will be lots of interesting posts. I have even planned the outfits lol lol I kinda wish I could go to Japan, though, instead of Europe.
I'll see you around! :)

The Liebster Award

Pardon me for practically abandoning this blog.

I've been MIA for weeks >__> in the past few weeks I was actually pretty busy. I'm in my last semester in uni and I'm doing my thesis. In addition to that, I also have to catch up with my Japanese because the exam in just in another 3 months. At first, I got panicked and stressed because even my weekends were used to study. I don't have time to even play my PS3 -__- however, now, I remember again how much I love English and Japanese. If that's what it takes for me to be able to get an A for my thesis and to get good score in my Japanese' JLPT, then I have nothing to complain. Although...this may cause me to be inactive again in blogging :p

I've done my Japanese homework for this week, so I used my free time yesterday to design a new layout for this blog. I definitely loved it the first time I was able to come up with it, but when I'm looking at it now, it occurs to me that it doesn't really have that "fashion" blog vibe in it. Oh well, it's cute anyway XD I learnt a bit about CSS too as I tweaked this blog's layout. I remember CSS being my 2010 new year's resolution that I had never got to do, lol. Anyway, what do you think? :D

On another note, the kind Mill Cruz from Stars and Stitches awarded me with The Liebster Blog Award. Thank you, Mill! :)

"The Liebster Blog Award is given  to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. "Liebster" is a German word which means the sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome."
The Rules:
1) Post 11 things about yourself.
2) Answer the questions the tagger has set for you. In addition, create 11 questions to be answered by those you have tagged.
3) Choose 11 bloggers and link them in your post.
4) Go on their page and tell them you have tagged them.
5) Remember, no tag backs!

11 things about myself:
1. I love any animal with 4 legs and furs. That includes dogs, cats...and lions even, lol. Of course, my number one love is dogs.
2. Ever since I was a child, I have been told that I have a talent in art. It was not until junior high school that I realized my drawings weren't that good. After that, I tried harder to improve my drawings until today. Then I realize sometimes compliments can destroy you.
3. I was a tomboy, but no one believes it when I tell them now, lol. I climbed up the roof, played with boys, excelled at sports...none of which I still do now.
4. I always want to pursue computer programming, but I suck at logic and maths.
5. I'm very competitive with guys. I think that's the only tomboy trait that still remains in me. I'm lucky that my bf is really smart. That way, I study harder and harder to beat him haha.
6. I am forever indebted to video games because it paved the way for me to discover my love and talent for language.
7. I love Japanese, but I hate Chinese XD the more I am told that a thing is important, the more reluctant I am to study that thing. Picture Maths. I've never bothered to listen to Maths lectures haha!
8. I'm not very patient with people who understand nothing about technology and gadgets. I don't wanna be those type of girls who aren't good with computers.
9. I spend all my money on clothes, food, and PS3 games -__- oh, and Nendoroid figures!
10. I can never resist handmade things.
11. I write better than I talk :3

1. What's your biggest fear?
Not being able to live as myself, I guess. I'm careful enough not to let anyone drive my life, but I'm also afraid of not being able to please others with the way I'm living my life. Now that's contradictory haha.
2. Who's your favorite blogger?
Mayo Wo, Chloe Ting, and Tricia Gosingtian!
3. What did you want to be when you were a child?
A vet. I still wanna be one now, but can I be a vet for four-legged and furry animals only? :3
4. Describe yourself in three words.
Stubborn, lazy, and creative<3
5. Do you believe in true love?
Yes, because I have found one :)
6. What's the most embarrassing moment of your life?
 Uh, can't quite remember..
7. Where would you want to live (besides your home now)?
Japan! Haha I've always been a huge fan of Japan, and living there will be a dream come true.
8. What's one thing you can't go a day without?
My Blackberry<3
9. What's your favorite word/expression?
 When there's a will, there's a way (stubbornness FTW! :p)
10. Who/what inspires you to blog?
I first thought that fashion was useless and only for girly girls. Then I discovered that fashion is actually a form of art. Art means a way to express myself.. Well that's about it.
11. If you could win any contest, what contest will you join and why?
Any which screams money.

Hmmm I don't think I know as many people as 11, but here are the blogs I tag:
Choose Happiness
Laavsh
Choco and Pink
Candy Grunge

*ehm* That's about the best I can do for now haha.
Some new posts coming up about my recent obsessions and other stuffs! ;)

The Milky Way

I didn't plan to blog today, so please excuse my goofy faces haha.

My family and I went to Jade Imperial for today's dinner. My mum initially wanted Semanggi, but we figured the food court would be crowded, so we opted for Jade Imperial instead. People said their La Mian was good (and much cheaper too compared to some other restaurants which offer La Mian).

Originally craved for the first one, but it was sold out, sadly. I've always been a fan of Tom Yam, so I gave it a try.

Yum, yum! I'd give it 9 out of 10, really! I got runny nose thanks to the spicy soup, but oh well it was delicious!
Chrysanthemum tea as our drink<3

Candid shots snapped by my dad. I look quite elegant while eating and drinking, lol. Frankly speaking, I'm quite the opposite in real life XD

Durian Pudding -- my mum's order. Blah, I'm not a fan of durians, but I must admit that the presentation makes it look delicious :9

My choice and sis'. Mango pudding FTW, though we find it a bit over the top for the dessert to cost almost the same as the La Mian. The pudding is so-so, too.

The final verdict? The La Mian is a must-try, indeed! ;) I only tried their Tom Yam La Mian, but my dad, mum, and sis enjoyed their La Mian too. Their serving is not too big. I didn't really feel full after eating the La Mian, but then again maybe my stomach capacity is too huge :3

Oh, right. The title of today's post is from my top....which is my very first galaxy clothing! :) bought it at a local online shop. The top was actually a T-shirt. You can't see it in the pic, but I cut the neckline and the shoulder and make it a cut-out top. Now it's more wearable! (I'm not a fan of T-shirt)

My sis snapped this when we were at the mall... I pretended there weren't people haha.

Again, it's my favorite blazer ever from GOWIGASA

Excuse my random poses from this point on.

I used to think that this pair of high heels are very very high. Now when I wear it... It's not that high >_> it's chunky too, so it's really comfortable to wear.

Despite the goofy face, I like how this photo turns out!<3

Suddenly when we were about to leave, people start coming out too haha. They make a great background! :p

It's a bit blur-ish, but I love this pic! I'm literally staring at Pocky.
Thanks for reading!<3

Jatim Park Part II

First thing first, Happy Eid Mubarak for those who celebrate it! ;)

So here's the next part of my Jatim Park II trip. Sorry it took so long :p

Actually, this year is probably the first year ever when I feel there's so much going on in my life. I've never felt this busy haha. Since I'm the lazy type, I enjoy doing nothing a lot more than having too much to do. That's probably why in previous years, the only thing that mattered to me was my study. Even though I had the competence to teach in private courses, the ability to maybe do something art-related and some other things, I've never bothered to pursue those further.

Now this year, I suddenly have the urge to do things other than my main study, English Literature. I took Japanese, taught English, and now I'm considering to make my art into something sell-able. Taking Japanese is actually more than enough to make my life busy, imho XD my Sensei is so dedicated (and strict, too). She wants me to take an examination in December, so we're studying hard to reach that target. I have to memorize more than 20 kanji(s) per week, but as much as it makes my life more difficult, I've been enjoying every moment of the study.

*ahem* Without further ado, here are the pics I promised you ;)
I basically practiced taking photos there, so yeah, that's why there are lots of 'em :D

Honestly, I'm scared of horror houses haha. I can play horror games, but uh if it's in real life (though it's faked), I'd rather pass!

This is a rabbit we found wandering alone. I wonder if she's lost?

My eyes are so slanting here! Then again they're slanting, but I always do my best to make them appear bigger, lol.

I'm proud of how this one turned out! ;) pretty fountain, eh?

"I'm smeky!"

I love the serene expression of the white lion so much that I'd figured I'd put two pics.

I think I did good here, Rule of Thirds-wise ;)

Thanks for reading! :)
